Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and OnlyScience, the operator of onlyscience.ai. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use OnlyScience.

OnlyScience is a personal research library. You choose topics, and we process matching papers from the published medical literature into structured summaries, called study cards, saved in your private library. You can also set up briefs, which email you summaries of new research on your topics.

OnlyScience is for education and research only.

• It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
• Summaries are generated by AI from published papers and can contain mistakes or miss context. Always check the original publication, and talk to a qualified healthcare provider before making any medical decision.
• If you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

You need an account for most of the service. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person. You must be at least 16 to use OnlyScience.

• Processing papers uses credits. You receive free credits when you sign up, and you can buy more or subscribe.
• Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Their checkout terms apply to the transaction.
• Credits are a feature of the service, not money. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or resold.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
• We may change pricing and free credit amounts for future purchases. Changes never take away something you have already paid for.
• If something goes wrong with a purchase, email support@onlyscience.ai and we will sort it out.

Use OnlyScience for your own research. You agree not to:

• Break the law or use the service to harm others.
• Try to access other users’ data or probe, overload, or bypass our security and rate limits.
• Scrape the service, bulk-export its output for resale, or republish it at scale.
• Share, resell, or automate access to your account.

• Research papers belong to their authors and publishers. Study cards always link to the source publication.
• Your library is yours. You may use your study cards in your own work, academic or clinical, with normal citation of the underlying papers.
• The OnlyScience software, design, and branding belong to us.

We improve OnlyScience continuously, and features may change over time. We aim for a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including the accuracy or completeness of any summary.

To the extent permitted by law, OnlyScience is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You may stop using OnlyScience at any time and delete your account by emailing support@onlyscience.ai. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and significant changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of OnlyScience is established.
